Work, Dance, Sleep - Repeat!

Hi everyone! I am sorry I have been so MIA lately. Things have gotten a bit crazy! I had a wonderful time at the wedding last weekend. It was a pretty pink and green affair! The bride was beautiful and it was great to see a few of my Sigma Kappa sisters. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

It was a western theme and we had mexican food and learned to do the Texas Two-Step.

The next day the sweet bride sent E. and I to the Gaylord Texan for manicures at the spa. It was so nice and relaxing and we had a blast checking out all the Christmas decorations.

E. and I were asked to be the guest book attendants and to help hand out programs. We felt very special to be included!

All in all, it was a wonderful wedding. I also go to go to the outlets and downtown Grapevine for shopping and lunch at a cute little bakery. I ended up only with a cute Christmas ornament to remind me of my time in Texas. Congrats to the happy couple!

Lately work and dance have taken up my time. Performances start in just two weeks so we are practicing, practicing, practicing! Tomorrow rehearsal is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Yikes, wish me luck!

Full-speed ahead

Hi everyone, life has been tres tres busy and action-packed. I've had all sorts of fun adventures! Here are a few fun things I've been up to in the past week.

I finally rode the new roller coaster at Universal - Rip Ride Rockit. It was intimidating! As you can see, it goes straight up so you're laying on your back as it starts. The cool part was once you sit down you pick a type of music and then select a song you want it to play while you ride. Each seat has speakers so you only hear your song and no one else's. I chose Glamorous by Fergie. It was fun to ride along to that and it calmed my nerves.

I ran the Harvest Hustle 5K for Junior League. It was a fun event we put on! I ran without training at all and finished at around 30:27. I will take it! Next time I will make time to train.

With work, I went to an all-day seminar called Get Motivated. There were some great speakers! I learned a lot about leadership, being positive and taking action. Above is Laura Bush. What a classy, polished and down-right sweet lady she is. I loved her speech. She gave an update on what the family is up to and spoke of her time at the White House and her perspective on different things they went through, 9/11 etc.

Colin Powell was also amazing. I just loved his leadership style and the stories he told. Other speakers included Zig Ziglar, Rudy Giuliani and Lou Holtz among others. They were great as well.

I also went to a bachelorette dinner, helped the bride make chocolate dipped pretzel rods for favors, attended a lifegroup (like sunday school) party and had 15 hours of dance practice. I love the busy life I lead - well usually ;)

Tomorrow, bright and early, I am heading to Grapevine, Texas for a sorority sister's wedding weekend. My college bff and I are flying out and going to be handing out programs and be the guest book attendants. I am thrilled to be part of her special day!

Anyone have any fun suggestions for things to do in Grapevine? We are going to the spa at the Gaylord one morning. We won't have a car, but the hotel has a shuttle that can take us to local places.

A pumpkin-filled fall

I went a little pumpkin crazy this year and set out to indulge in many pumpkin items. Here are some that I liked the most.

2. Einstein's pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese

3. Starbucks pumpkin spice latte

I tried to get a pumpkin doughnut from Krispy Kreme and that mission failed - no luck.

Living for the weekends!

Hello hello and happy Monday! Don't the weekends just go by too fast? Friday I had my very first blogger meet-up. Princess Freckles from Her Highness of Cute was in town on her honeymoon and we met up at Disney Boardwalk where we both had an Ultimate Arnold Palmer. Very yummy indeed - Arnold Palmer with a kick ;) How sweet of her to meet up while she was on her honeymoon! I got to meet her wonderful new husband as well and they are just the cutest couple. We had the best time chatting away about everything and her wedding sounded amazing! She is just so much fun and I'm so glad we got to meet. She plans to come back to Disney many more times so in Mickey fashion - See you real soon! Thanks again for meeting up!

After that my boyfriend and I walked right on over to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival. If you have never been, I highly recommend it! Each country plus a few others have stations with food and wine from their country. You can just eat and drink around the world trying all sorts of things. It is fabulous!

And then came Halloween. Half of the day I volunteered at a Junior League fall festival, which was so much fun because all the little kids came in costume. Then it was time for my costume. I decided to go with Elle, complete with little dog in tow (couldn't find a Bruiser look alike though.) Unfortunately I forgot my Tiffany jewelry to complete the look! At least my sunglasses were pink though :) T. went as Derek Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy. He has dark curly hair and does look rather like McDreamy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Time to move on to Thanksgiving now!

Orange you glad it's Halloween!
